School Council

The aim of our school council is to ensure that children in our school have a voice. Each class in KS1 has two representatives who feed back the views of their class at monthly school council meetings with Mrs Schlanker.

School councillors help to make decisions on ways to improve our school.

This academic year the project for the school councillors has been to develop a quieter area in the playground. The school councillors held a vote on ideas from classes and a Reading Den received the most votes.

School council met with the PSA to secure funding and then with our site manager to agree construction. School council also organised a fund raising event to pay for new books, storage boxes and cushions to furnish the Reading Den.

Eco-Warriors

Two children from each class meet with Mrs Schlanker on a regular basis to discuss and action implementing environmental projects and encouraging the whole school community to get involved.
