At Baddow Hall Infant School we aim for our children to become valuable and fully rounded members of society who treat others with respect and tolerance, regardless of background. We promote the basic British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.
British values are regularly promoted in a way that is accessible and at an age appropriate level. This is achieved through high quality teaching, a rounded programme of assemblies and a positive behaviour policy. Fundamental British values are also promoted through our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development of pupils, and our PHSE (Personal, Health, Social education) curriculum.
The document below sets out how we promote each British value.
